Evagelos S. Dimou - Rousoulentsis
Frequently Asked Questions
How many chiropractic sessions will I need?
It depends on the chronicity and the nature of the problem, the age of the patient and other factors. Generally speaking 3-5 sessions required to treat most musculoskeletal complaints.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you have any documents, letters or test results (such as x-rays) from your doctor that relate to the complaint it is recommended to have them with you for the initial consultation. Dr. Dimou will examine you and if further investigation is required, Dr. Dimou will refer you to your doctor to order the most appropriate tests required.
How many appointments do I need for foot scanning?
One appointment is required to do the history, observation, tests, gait analysis and casting of the feet and a follow-up appointment a few days later for the fitting of the orthotics. A re-evaluation session is planned 10-12 months later for a new foot scanning examination and for a discussion with the patient concerning the progress of the treatment.
How often do I need to replace my orthotics?
Insoles should be replaced yearly, after a new casting and new foot scanning examination. However, in cases such as high performance athletes, who suffer from overuse syndromes, and small children whose feet are still growing, new insoles are required approximately every six months.
How many pairs of orthotics do I need?
Usually one pair of orthotics is adequate, as they can be moved into each pair of shoes. A second pair of orthotics is usually manufactured under special request of the patient (i.e. if he is an athlete and he needs a pair for his running shoes and another pair for his casual work shoes).

“I am an American athlete playing volleyball in Greece. Last year I had surgery on my shoulder and this is my first season playing again. I had been to the office a couple years before just for adjustments but came back this year for my shoulder. I was getting treatment and adjustments for a few weeks and they got my shoulder feeling better then it had before my surgery. I was able to sleep on my shoulder for the first time in almost 4 years. They are the greatest people and I will forever be a patient when I am in Greece!”

“I cannot recommend Vaggelis highly enough. His attention to my extremely complicated foot issue was absolute and dedicated, ruling out steadily all the possible causes, even at a distance since I live so far from Athens. The insoles he made for me helped hugely with the metatarsal pain I was getting too. However, over time it became apparent that there was something more serious happening, which he narrowed down to a neurological disorder. Following his referral to a neurologist, I spent the next 3 months going through a whole series of tests which confirmed that I have a very rare neurological disorder causing demyelination of the nerve sheath. The symptoms are often confused with many other problems, so it is notoriously difficult to diagnose. Had Vaggelis not referred me as soon as he realised this, I would not be at the point of now receiving treatment and hopefully on the long road to recovery. I am so very grateful to him. He is also an extremely nice person!”
